74055453 The l952Starkvulle Hugh football team funushed second un the Luttle Ten Conference The team went through the eleven game season wuth losses only to Oxford and Amory The Unuversuty Hugh Eagles Oxfordl unvaded Starkvulle un the openung game of the season They caught the Jackets quute by surpruse and turned them back by a 20 I2 score The Yellow Jackets were so angered that the followung week they trounced West Pount 63 7 Starkvulle next played the team that eventually became the Champuons of the Luttle Ten After traulung 6 O at halftume the Amory Panthers overcame the lead and defeated the Yellow Jackets I4-6 Thus proved to be the last loss of the season In the next game the Aberdeen Bulldogs gave the Starkvulle team a rugged battle before F llung 21 I2 Except for the Louusvulle game the remaunung games were routune vuctorues wuth the closest margun beung 2l pounts The Louusvulle game was a thruller however The Choctaw Conference Champuons had compuled an umpressuve wun streak The Jackets played unspured ball and defeated them by a score of 28 T3 The leadungscorer of the season was Bob Bobo Kurkpatruck wuth T56 pounts He was followed by Lyman wuth 60 Walker wuth 54 Slaughter wuth 32 and McElroy wuth 22 The eleven senuors of thus ball club wull long be remembered at Starkvulle Hugh for theur football prowess ie 7752 Smfzkailfe Sciaaf 704115645 764m
