Before becoming a member, however, the candidate must go through a week of initiation to show he is worthy to join the club. Besides creating an interest in athletics and providing a time when all the mem- bers who have excelled in high school athletics may meet, the S-Club sponsors many socials, the outstanding one being the S-Club picnic.
