Starkville grabbed an early lead in the first few minutes of play when Donald Mosley, high score ing fullback, plowed over from the one foot line. fohnson's extra point try failed to meet the specifications. Minutes later Eupora scored on a pass play to tie up the game. Then our boys pulled a slick play. Qur very versatile center, Don Iohn- son, swapped places with the tailback for the first time of the year. On the play, Iohnson completed a pass, covering EU yards to Parker for a TD, giving the Iackets a l2 to 6 halftime lead. lt looked as if our boys would add another TD to the score in the opening moments of the second half, but downs ran out inside the lU yard line. The fackets suffered bad breaks in the fourth quarter by having two punts blocked. The second blocked punt was recovered for a Eupora TD. A run- ning play scored the game winning extra point. Our boys almost pulled the game out of the fire by completing a long pass to Pace on the eight yard line, but the time keeper stepped in to end the game before a score could be made.
