Meeting on alternate Fridays under the sponf sorship of Miss Dotsey Carpenter, Sodalitas Latina arouses interest in Roinas history, myth- ology, and tlie Latin -lanauaue. Open to all present and forrner students of Latin, the club is affiliated with the lunior Classical Leaaue, and was an active participant in the state--wide Latin Examination Sonie of tlie local activities are stories and tallcs on rnythology, aarnes, vo- cabulary niatclies, and, of course, parties. The colors adopted by Sodalitas Latina are purple and gold, While the flower is tlie olive blossorn. Men of Brawn and Might Are We Who D0 Right We-ll To Hake Z1 D. The iS Club, now in its third year at SHS., has grown to be one ot the laraer and more active organizations in the school. This organi- zation is under the capable direction ot Coaches Scales and Thompson. To become a member ot the club, a student must have earned a letter in one ot the three rnajor sports- football, basketball, or baseball, either as a player or a nianaaer, and rnust ao through a week ot other initiation require- rnents. Besides creatina an interest in athletics, and promoting good fellowship and sportsnianship among the boys, the MS Club sponsors rnany social activities such as dances, parties, and picnics.
