On Thursday night the Homecoming Celef bration aot underway with a big bontire and pep rally. The cheer leaders led many lively cheers with the band playing stirring marches helping to make the pep rally a huge success, Friday morning the S.HS. band led a parade down Main Street. A tloat was en- tered by each class and the band. Alter going throuah town the floats were driven to Mississippi State College to let everyone know ot tlie Honiecominfg Celebration. Before the fxanie, lack Beall, Master ot Ceremonies, introduced the rnaids and their escorts. They were: Emily Ann Bell Charlie Ashford Carolyn Bond Boy Carpenter Patricia Ashiord limmy Martindale Patsy Catlin Clittord White Katherine Hanimill Marian Prisock lean Malone Gene lohnson Vivian Mclfell Stanley Edmonson Mary Nell Massey Morris Parrish Betty Ann Mullins Ed Bryan Bussell Patsy Moor David Saunders Dot Patty Bobby Taylor Nell Smith Aubrey Skelton The little sisters 2-Jere Elaine Mullins and Mildred Ann losey. Each Maid carried a boguet ot yellow chrysantliernums in the shape ot a lootball. Alter the maids were escorted to the plat- torm in the center ot the field, lack opened the envelope containina the name ot the Queen and the tn-Jo Maids ot Honor, which had been kept a secret. Carolyn Bond was selected as Queen with her Maids ol Honor being Emily Ann Bell and Vivian Mclfell. Miss Bond was crowned by Cofcaptain l. L. Anthony and presented a bouquet ot red roses by Co Captain Timmy Parker. After the name the Homecoming Dance was held in a beautilully decorated gym. Captain Iimmy Presents Queen Carolyn with Red Roses.
