X' 1 Q H . xx 1 X kart fig Il ' g -rind Mlvzwdm- 0 The 1956 ORANGE PEEL staff wishes to honor a man who, during four short years, has distinguished himself as a friend of the students. After being graduated from Gatesville High School, he served time in the navy after which he began his higher learnin' U at Baylor University at Waco. According to our dedicatee, Things at Baylor start- ed pickin, up in '1L8,,' and they continued to boom until he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees. His teaching career got underway at McCamey Junior High School, and a year later in 1952 he came to be associated with Stark High. Since that time, he has worked his Way to the top of his depart- ment, and he is now the chairman and co- ordinator of high school Social Studies. A devoted sponsor of the Junior Class, our dedicatee has been given credit for the friction between the Juniors and Seniors during the past four years. He has also made himself popular by his interesting lectures, his gigantic notebooks, and his wooden stick with which he rules room 201. For these and his many accomplish- ments for which he shall long be re- membered, We proudly dedicate this 1956 ORANGE PEEL to
