'12,-lv PRX Fouzuswoueub 'ans .f Yx September we returned eager to renew old fruendshups and reluctant to explore new textbook Offucers were elected to head the Senuor Junuor and Sophomore classes October congratulated Barney Treadway as Student Body Presudent after a gruelung excutement fulled Orange on top campaugn Football season was well on uts way We yelled for the Tugers tul throats were husky November brought a welcome pause wuth Thanks guvung Electuon of Class Favorutes lent excutement to the aur December caught us dreamung of tunsel and partues mustletoe and peppermunt canes and a whute Chrustmas The semester was gone Crammung for exams almost ruuned January Our grades brought reluef or vows that thungs wull be dufferent next tume Kung Twurp was crowned once more February actually brought a hunt of sprung Kung and Queen reugned over a hearts and flowers Coronatuon Sprung blos somed through and unto March Our fancues turned Our hearts were sud denly very young and sometumes easuly broken Sophomore Prom goers were swept along un the Mardu Gras mood Junuor Play Too Sweet for Suxteen Aprul Sprung fever Teachers lectured and heaos nodded drowsuly The Junuors lungered un a Sunken Garden Senuor Play Hus Best Investment May came too soon Senuors were exhausted from the con tunuous round of actuvutues hughlughted by a Black and Whute Ball Exams were taken and farewells were spoken Famuluar faces dusappeared Some of us graduated We wore our mortarboards and gowns and pretended that nothung had changed Some of us wull be back Some of us are druftung We may not return And tume passes by leavung behund the unforget table uoys and the unevutable regrets and the hope of tomorrow always tomorrow And now as a shup brungung her goods to port may we brung you the record of these events of the past school year May we present .G .1411 .HI 'i'u,,' V ' 7 N Q I .1 '-, 'sl l fl ' ' Q . ss. . The Bengals lost their opener to South Park, to the surprise of everyone. They then downed Port Neches, Lutkin, Reagan, and Miller. Miller was second of the first ten tearns in the state at the time ot their defeat by the Bengals, who rose to the seventh spot in the state. Orange was then subdued by ,Baytown and Port Arthur, only to rise again to wh p Pasadena and Galyeston. ln the last garne ot the season, the Tigers played to a standstill with Beaumont in a sea of rnud.
