Morris Qradualccl from the department of Physical Science and Engineering at thc Lfniversily of Maryland With a combined degree in Physics and Chemistry. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in May 1986, he entered Officers Candidate school and was commissioned in November 1986. After completing Division Officer School. LT Morris was assigned to the USS Lasalle IAGF-31 which was fonvard deployed to Bahrain for one year. He served as the lst Division officer and Administration officer. His second tour was aboard USS Ticonderoga where he served as the Electrical Officer and he first qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch. Accepting another one year tour on Belknap CG-26 LT afv Liana Morris served as the Auxiliaiy and Electrical Officer. LT Morris was selected IH graduate school in 1991 for slurll in Space System Engineerinii 3' 'lil' Naval Postgraduate School 'Ill Monterey, California. whglf' receiving a Masters in Aplflmd Physics with major Cfflphasls Uv Electrical Engineering and PlasmaS- he learned to enjoy fZ01f.and,mf7 skiing at Lake Tahoe, California- I Upon completion Of gfaduaff' school he spent six months Tn Department Head scho01 NeWp0rt, Rhode Island and pie? later assigned to USS Stark 215 C be Engineer.
