Although we outhit our opponents, we were on the short end of a 10 to 8 count. Our next game was played on May 3 with Glenwood. After the first inning little scoring was done. Glenwood scored four runs and the Bucks five in this inning. The game turned out to be a pitcher's battle between Otteson and Peper. The winning run was scored in the eleventh inning by Glenwood. The final score was 7 to 6. On May 8 we played Benson. This also proved to be a very interesting game. We came from behind in the last inning to Win 11 to 10. A return game was played with Cyrus on May 13. Larson, on the mound for the Bucks, set back the Cyrus players with 4 hits and sent 12 men back to the bench via the strike-out route. The final score was 11 to 2 in favor of the Bucks. Qn May 15 we played a return game at Benson. We emerged victors by a score of 9 to 2. We lost to Morris by a score of 13 to ll and won from Chokio by a score of 6 to 0, Larson pitching a NO RUN, NO HIT game. Glenwood won the final game on May 24 by a 3 to 1 score.
