Prnspize Since this is such a cool, refreshing day, come and take a walk with me. The air is so in- vigorating! See those clouds in the sky. They look like wisps of georgette from Venus' gown. But what is that great monster soaring above us? It is a giant eagle. It's coming closer now. Look! There is a man piloting it. They are coming to earth now. Let us go over to them. Oh, did you hear that? The man said he would take us anywhere we wish to go. How opportune, especially when we are just wonder- ing how our classmates fare. I.t's quite awhile since they left Starbuck High School. Let us go to the State Capitol first of all. We'd like to see the governor. He's too busy to be bothered? Well, please let us see his private sec- retary, then. Here she comes now. Nice girl. Why, it's our classmate, Myra Amundson! Per- haps she can tell us about some others we seek. Gerhard Wold? Yes, do tell us about him. So he's speaker of the House eh? That's great! Deep down in our hearts though, we think he took a liking to that position in our Social Science class. No, we haven't heard about Orville Hagen either. He's in Minneapolis you say? Pray tell what he is doing? He's a baker. No wonder he took such a liking to the motto, Eventually, why not now ? But we must be on way. We'll mount the Eagle and be off. This time, Mr. Pilot, please take us to Chicago. We expect to find at least one of our classmates there. Do you see that name on that large building across the street? It is Wollan Hospital. We had a classmate, Earl Wollan, who was very much in- terested in the doctor's profession. We'll ask the policeman who established it. Dr. Earl D. W ollan, he said. And people come from all cor- ners of the earth to consult him. Then I don't think he would have time to see us. We know his dreams have come true. Ye shades of Rome! Are my eyes deceiving me? Look at this enormous building here in the busiest section of Chicago. In large letters above it are the words, Landaas' Beauty Salon. Could it possibly be Solveig? We'll ask someone. Yes, it is owned and managed by Solveig Landaas. And she is very successful, too, you say? We'd expect that. She probably got her start in the Carnival Beauty Parlor. Now, Mr Pilot, we want to visit Philadel- phia. Yes let us off right here, please. This surely is a gigantic skyscraper before us, isn't it? Let us look at the name. W. Math- er Mfg. Co. The name sounds strangely famil- iar. We'll go inside and ask to see the manager. Luckily, he consented to see us. It's Wayne Mather, all right. So it's you who made a for- tune by discovering a new compound that makes old leather look like new. We knew you would discover something with all your tinkering about in the chemistry laboratory. Have you heard anything about Lorrin Dahlager lately? Oh, he's just received a posi- tion as feature writer for the Minneapolis Jour- nal. Success came to him rapidly. And what about Magnus Baukol? He's in Baltimore and is pastor of a church there, isn't that it? We feel confident that he will be suc- cessful. Oh, yes, we want to know about Arnt Aune. He is in Boston. What is he doing there? In- deed! He's operating the Goodyear Tire Fac- tory now. Well, he had a leader's ability writ- ten all over him. Where shall we go now? To New York. We want to get off at Fifth Avenue. Fashions, fashions, and more fashions! Dress shops and models wherever we look. Here is a stunning gown! The girl wearing it is stunning, too. Her face looks familiar. Of course, it's none other than Clarice Sanvik. We'd like to talk to her, but we must be on our way. Let us go into a restaurant for a bite to eat. The immaculate front looks very inviting to the prospective customer. Come inside with me. The waitresses are hurrying to and fro like white butterflies. We'll sit down here. A waitress is coming to take our order. I'm sure that I know her. It's Amy Nelson, in person. Doesn't she look dainty? Sh! listen to that pianist over the radio. Excellent! Ah, but it stopped. We'll hear what sort of program it is. The announcer has a pleasing tone of voice, hasn't he? Did you hear what he said? It was something like this: You have been listening to another Hour of Music presented over the N. B. C. Network by Margret Larson--Joseph Belgum announcing. That accounts for two more of our classmates. Here comes Amy back again. We will 'ask her if she has heard anything about Ella For- bord. Did you say she is operating the Elite Dress Shop here on Fifth Avenue? She cer- tainly must be in the midst of fashionable people on every side. And what about Gladys Erickson? She's in Richmond, you say? A nurse at one of the hospitals there. I know now that her fondest hopes have come true. Florence Pederson is in Kansas City, isn't sho? Yes, I hear she's ver-retary to the manager of the Meyer Mfg. Co. She likes the work very well according to the information I received. We must leave New York. First let us purchase a newspaper and scan the headlines. Berg Makes Record Flight From Frisco to Madras . There's a picture of the pilot, Clifford Berg, with his plane, Victory. We always thought he would perform some achievement in connection with airplanes, because he was always immensely enthusiastic about aeronau- tics. Again we'll mount the eagle. This time we
