Promoting safety, sponsoring the first after-game social, officiating at the Homecoming program and helping organize the junior High Student Council ---- all these activities are carried on by the group. They also discuss and ratify new clubs' constitutions and approve changes in those of old clubs . Student Council provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience in leadership. It also serves as a meeting ground between faculty and students . Student Council Strives SEATED are the seventh and eighth grade members of the Student Council: Carolyn Sudik, Marlyn Rogers, Jan Ruther, Sherry Lombardi, Linda Yates, Mary Moreland, Glenna Cook, Linda Haywood, Darlyn Harris, Sandra Smith. STANDING are: Billy Reed, Bobby McKay, Leroy Fore, James Estep, Dickie Shoemaker. AFTER you take around the absentee list. These are just a few of the many odd jobs the office girls do each hour. It is because of these small errands which help the administrators of our school that Star-Spencer runs smoothly . Sheissues admit slips, acts as cashier in the cafeteria and is indispensible to Star-Spencer. Mrs. Mastin trains office assistants and sells lunch tickets. We come to her for our admit slips, we borrow her telephone, her scissors, her stapler and she never loses patience. Mrs. Mastin has the distinction of being the proprietor of the school's Lost and Found Department. To her, we come in search of books, wallets and head scarfs . MRS. VALLIE MASTIN
