MRS. JEAN HARTIS Acting as secretary to Mr. Harvey, Miss Hartis is a mainstay in the superin- tendent's office. Paying claims, writing checks and setting up Mr. Harvey's ap- pointments are only a few of her duties. She faces a thousand and one questions each day, copes with the drum practicing next door and never loses her sense of humor. Jenn and Janette Assist in Running Offices The secretaries are the backbone of the school. Students borrow their ditto papers and persuade them out of paper clips . They collect our money and check us out. We de- pend upon them and take them for granted, but we can never do without them. A combination treasurer, information booth and secretary to the principal is Miss Acree. The mimeographed forms necessary to the school are the work of the fine hand of Miss Acree on the mimeo- graph machine. We have her to thank for our daily bulletin, mail distribution and the many things that make up a smoothly functioning principal's office. MISS IANETTE ACREE
