Susan Elizabeth Tursi Neither petite nor small Of voice-I live on smiles and A dust of laughter. Ambition: The King and I It is said that you will find sorrow only in the things that have first given you joy. Such is our experience as we say good-bye. It saddens us to think of bidding adieu to friends and laughter and high school pranks but along with this grief comes a treasure of memories-memories that in the years to come we will have come a long way since that foggy day in September 1962 when we first came here. Now, as we walk down the aisle of Star of the Sea Church, four years of laborious study, plenty of laughs and a few tragedies flash before us. With pride we look at our accomplishments: with expectation and a little apprehension we peek at the future. For us good-bye means also hello to a new life-a future whose challenges we must boldly accept if we are to help shape destiny. Good-bye means good-bye to the bond that was made when we sang . . . and keep us united forever for the last time. Once farewell meant sorrow, but no more. Now it means a wealth of changes-maturity, knowledge, courage and under- standing. These riches cannot be taken away by the word good-bye . The Class of 1966 prepares to leave. Though tears may fall, our good-byes will not in part be sad because each of us has given a golden coin to be laid in the treasure of the other's heart. Who can help but rejoice in such wealth!
