STARLETS The Starlets had an up and down season. They won S and lost S. They were defeated in the County Tourney by Monterey 15-13. At home the Starlets won 5 and lost 3. Away from home they won 3 and lost 5. The majority of the games were of the close variety, The Starlets won one 1-pointer, one 2-pointer, one 3-pointer, and one 1-pointer. The opponents heat the Starlets -twice hy 1 tpnint, ontie hy 2 points, once hy 3, twice by 4, and once by 5. Pnlaslai was the only team to beat the Sta-rlets by more than. 5 points anti they did it twice. During the season at one time or nn- other, 21 boys played on the seunnd team and all but -i of them scored. There were freshmen, 1 sophomores, 6 juniors, and 3 senio-rs playing at one -time or another. Ot the 352 points scored by the second team during the year, 177 or 50.3 per cent of the poin-is were scored by freshmen. The sophomores got 71, the juniors 51, and the seniors collected 50. Doc Parcel and Don White played in all 16 games, They tied for the most field goals with 22. Doc tried the 1110St toul shuts, -12, and made the most, 20.
