The student-council meetings were something new this year in which all the teachers and the officers of the four upper classes took aan interest. The main ob- ject of these 'meetings was to plan the school activities so that two classes would not be conflicting on party dates, the use of the gy-m, etc. The ffirst meeting was on October 19, 1945 and the main discussion was how to choose the basketball boys that should go to the state finals in the spring. A com- mittee was chosen to make-up the rules cfor the boys to abide by during the year and to be scored at the end of the season. This committee consisted of: Mr. Carpenter, Neil Hoesel, Kathryn Fisher, Mrs. Servies, and Jack Capper. A committee was also appointed to choose the boys, they were: Harold Brown, Ralph Bishop, Mrs. Servies, Mrs. Moyer, Joe Bill Newman, Kenneth Kistler, and Kathryn Fisher. A school Christmas party was the next thing to plan. It was decided to have it on December 20 at the school gymnasiwm. The upper six grades were included in this party. The secretaries of the classes were on the decorating committeeg vice presi- dents on the refreshments, and the presidents on the entertainment. Every class had their own gi-ft exchange. Throughout the year minor dates have been voted ony the Sunshine dance, Sopho- more skating party, stunts for Farmer's Ilnstitute, etc. Everyone feels that these meetings have been a help to the whole student body in avoiding conflicts and hopes that they continue in years to come. KATHRYN FISH-ER.
