4 CLASS POE THE TWELFTH STEP Atter this journey of twelve long years 'Phat has been spiced with happiness and tears, VVe've come to the step that spells successg We've toiled, we've sweated, we've forfeited to gain The knowledge we need, and it was not in vain, But until we arrive, we never will st-op, Of learning. True, our tastes will vary, The boys may discover, the girls inay marry, But whatever our courses, they all will lead To the step at the top and we'll all succeed. VVe've coine to the step that sometimes has failed But we'll follow the ones that really have sailed And struggled until they at last reached the top. We've got farther to go and it'll be harder, too, And the obstacles to pass won't be just a few, But until we arrive, we never will stop. So be not afraid, you teachers who've spent Much time in preparing us for this event, One of the happiest moments of all those who delve, Is success in passing STEP NUMBER TVVELVE.
