At the beginning of the school yearme had-anene rollment of thirty. During the year, Anna Mae Rater and Gerald Bonnell came her. Since then, Anna .Hae Rater moved to Winamac, Gerald Bonnell withdrew, Martha Bucks moved to Pulaske, and Helen Poole moved to Francesville. We had twenty eight students en- rolled at the close of school. We were proud of our contestants this year. ln the Latin contest were Louise McClain and Pattvthin- . 1 ple, and those in the geometry contest were Marie McLochlin and Colonel Vangundy. The Latin contest- ants did fairly well, but we havenYt heard about the geometry contest winners. Several Sophomore students were disappointed because they were not getting along so well in Latin and geometryo Majbe if they would each have gotten daily assignments, things would not have been so bad for them. We were proud of the effort our boys put forth this year on the b.nket ball team. Dick Compton, Don Marquis, Colonel Vangundy,. and Dean Parcel all deserved credit for doing their part. Our Christmas party was held at Bernice Moon's house this year. This was the second time our class had a Christmas party at her houseo Mb played games, ate candy, roasted weiners, and exchanged gifts. We had a very lovely time. It seemed as if romance had come into the minds of several people in this classn If you donlt know whom, you should have taken a look around in the halls end ycu'd soon have found out. Our class officers were: President-W-Kenneth Hoodg vice-president-Stanley Lemmon, Secretary-mMary Kelley, treasurer-Dick Compton, They did a-very good job transacting the business of the Sophomnres. Our class sponsor was Mr. Reed. We wish to thank him for his help. Marie McLochlin, Crval surgcss and Louise Mc- Clain took part in the Farmerfs Institute program held on the evening of February 5.
