Dr. See closed the place up and sold it and it was idle for a year when Miss Helene Shelton bought it and moved in. She became restless and decided to go to Europe, so she real estate are house in the hands of a placed the nt, Miss Bea Yise, left a colored .J caretaker in chargeand started off on her European jaunt. Miss Wise, anxious to sell Crestdale, ran into a family who told her they were in the market to buy a house, and whom do you think moved in? The following day I received a telegram, Who was it from? No one but Loretta Markley askingme to visit her at her hone in Logansoortg I found she was working at the Ls BC Mt The following afternoon I took an airplane and flow to her heme. The stewardess of the plane was Maxine Leasure. 'V Maxine said she liked her joe and was planning to makh' a trip to the old country in a month, While visiting Loretta I learned that Leis Russell and Melvin Davis were married the day he- fore I arrived. During my stay at Loretta's I found also that several years after hergraduation, Marjorie Parish hed married Bill Larkin, and they were residing on a farm near Grass Greek, I heard also that Marjorie was having a difficult time raising their two children and taking careof their chickens, pigs, cons, etc. After visiting Loretta I chose to visithor twin sister, Lois, who lived. in Winanac. To my surprise I found thit Lois was proprietor of the Ideal Beouty Saloon. When I called on Lois she told me that her co-Worker was out to lunch. I was astonished to learn thot this co-worker was Gertrude Hood, who was our Senior President. Ger- tie said she liked to give manicures to the Hond- some men. Lois also told me that Jo Berkshire was mdrried hut still held her job it Groonfs Drugsto- TC: Before returning to my heme in Los Angeles I met John Case on the street one diy. John is lead- er of his fondue swing hand ind one of his swing- iest players is Mary M. HcClure, with her hellyre. John told me that Bill Vernon was a societydeetor and that his trained nurse nes Alice Badger and that his office girl nfs Valna Foernan. After ny chat with John I stopped in at a rc- stourant and there I net Sarih Wank who told ne she was Q dietician. What Silly likes shout this is her salary. She also told me that Leona Rude had been traveling about the country for several years and had worked in the Stite Bead Cafe for four months. During the time she was traveling she met a hey in Chicago, to when she had become engoged and had later nirried. I returned to my none sappy thot I had con- tacted ill my old school miter though I regretted not being able tw contact iny of our high school teachers.
