They were residing on near Star City. After an interesting talk with and to my surprise found that Claude prietor of this large shop. During our talk I found that Claude had marr ful blond girl from a small mid-Wes they have two children. met both Cl Since I had a small farm Mr. and Mrs . shop pro- James Abbott I went into a wolleknewn eand Hair wa .the course of ied a beauti- tern town and Y aude and Jim I decided to try to find some more of my school friends, T went to the restaurant to get my lunch, andmhile Waiting for my order I pieked up a newspaper and turning the pages I saw the picture of a familiar face. Taking a second look at this picture I dis- covered it was Virginia Hanson who was soon to be- come the bride of Leo Bucinski to whom she had been engaged many years. The waiter then came with my order and this none other than Richard Smith who had been chief cook and bottle Washer as well waiter in this restaurant for some time. told me that Marjorie Schultz had gone to design dresses. He also told me that Richard Paris te Mr. and Mrs. William Malia new resided in Los Angeles. Mrs. Malia. was the former, Mildred Lemmon. making good money as an employee of ter who owned the art museum. Learning that Darrell owned this eided to call on him. Darrell seemed see me and informed me that he was eityfs most elifihlc bachelor. Altho girl friend he was net expecting to That evening I went to a movie the screen I saw Mary Ann White who the main role in the show. Parish was our class president. Nellie Murray and Frances Rondann entered our class. Marian Block was here only u short time. Delbert Kistler moved to Grass Creek where he is new attending school. A group of twenty-seven appeared and were en- rolled in the Sophomore class the next fall. Jewell McNeely was the only new student and later that some year she left. We found that Nellie Murray and Frances Rondenn had left us and Aduring the year Laverne Lining, Burton McClellan, Marie Smith, Louunne Stephene,Lnrl Sutton, Dick Kistler, and Hazel Kelley left ue. Our faculty consisted of Mr. Surber, Mr. Carpenter, Mr. Metzger, Mr, qaeoby, Miss Peigh,lMss Boegnholtz, and Liss lmel, Mr. Metzger was our class sponsor, Mary Margaret McClure, eleee president,lHldred Lemmon, secretary and Richard Lee Snith, treasurer. ' The next year, our Junior yenr, was full of activities. Our clnss numbering twenty-ftur, were beginning the next tc the lust year of their high school career. Our faculty was changed by Miss Incl, Mice Bee eh ltz, and Mr. Jacoby leaving and Mrs, Boomershine, Miss Thonpson,end Mr. Reed join- ing the staff. Mr. Carpenter was nur class spens- or, Gertrude Heed president, Claude Hair, vice president, and Richard Lee Smith, secretnry-treas- urer. We presented the ploy Hnunt Tillie Goes To Townu end sp nsored the Junior-Senior Bnnquet,held ut the Lincoln Leige in Lafayette, Indiana. This your Velma Foernan and Virginia Hunoen joined our Clase. The next and lost, our Senior year was the nest enjoyable uf ull our schcel career. Our fec- ulty this yegr etnsietedci Mr. Surber, Mr. Carpen- ter, Mr, Replegle, Lies Thcnnson, Miss Snyder, Mrs, 'D 'I Beenershine, end Mr. neee. Mr. Replogle resigned in March and Mies Snyder has not been with ue due to illness, Mrs. Rise replaced Misc Snyder and Mrs. Fitzpatrick filled the vneoncy left by Mr, Repltgle, Our spencer was Mr.Carpenter, cur pres- ieent, Gertrude Eeoe, vice president, Bill Vernon, secretary, Velno Foernun, treaeurer, Richard Lee Smith, The Seniors this yqur ere twentyhfeur '.'Y in number. The following day I received a telegram, Who was it from? No one but Loretta Markley askingme to visit her at her hone in Logansoortg I found she was working at the Ls BC Mt The following afternoon I took an airplane and flow to her heme. The stewardess of the plane was Maxine Leasure. 'V Maxine said she liked her joe and was planning to makh' a trip to the old country in a month, While visiting Loretta I learned that Leis Russell and Melvin Davis were married the day he- fore I arrived. During my stay at Loretta's I found also that several years after hergraduation, Marjorie Parish hed married Bill Larkin, and they were residing on a farm near Grass Greek, I heard also that Marjorie was having a difficult time raising their two children and taking careof their chickens, pigs, cons, etc. After visiting Loretta I chose to visithor twin sister, Lois, who lived. in Winanac. To my surprise I found thit Lois was proprietor of the Ideal Beouty Saloon. When I called on Lois she told me that her co-Worker was out to lunch. I was astonished to learn thot this co-worker was Gertrude Hood, who was our Senior President. Ger- tie said she liked to give manicures to the Hond- some men. Lois also told me that Jo Berkshire was mdrried hut still held her job it Groonfs Drugsto- TC: Before returning to my heme in Los Angeles I met John Case on the street one diy. John is lead- er of his fondue swing hand ind one of his swing- iest players is Mary M. HcClure, with her hellyre. John told me that Bill Vernon was a societydeetor and that his trained nurse nes Alice Badger and that his office girl nfs Valna Foernan. After ny chat with John I stopped in at a rc- stourant and there I net Sarih Wank who told ne she was Q dietician. What Silly likes shout this is her salary. She also told me that Leona Rude had been traveling about the country for several years and had worked in the Stite Bead Cafe for four months. During the time she was traveling she met a hey in Chicago, to when she had become engoged and had later nirried. I returned to my none sappy thot I had con- tacted ill my old school miter though I regretted not being able tw contact iny of our high school teachers.
