We believe that we have done our duty in upholding our place among our predecessors in the fields of music, sports, dramatics, and scholastic enterprises. we first made a bid for public recognition in our sophomore year, when we won the class basketball tournament from the seniors in the final few seconds of play. Our basketball prestige among the other classes has never since been questioned. In our Junior year, the class successfully presented the play, 'My Wife's Family'. The class also sponsored a series of four lyceum programs which were graciously accepted by the school and community. Then in the spring we entertained the seniors in a gala Junior-Senior Banquet, held at the Barnes Hotel at Logansport. The banquet was followed by A theater party at the Logan Theater. This year has been the greatest and most enjoyable one in our high school career. This year when the softball season rolled around, the sen- ior boys on the team did their best for Star City High, however the Stars were defeated by the tournament champions on the narrow margin of one run. At the close of the softball season, Coach Reed called the first basketball practice, and among those turning out were the five senior veterans who be- came the starting crew for the Stars in nearly all of their encounters. The boys were successful in again winning the Pulaski County Basketball Tournament, and the trophy thus won is now in the school collection. In the spring of our senior year, we presented the play, 'Don't Look Hown, much to the approval of the audience which filled the auditoriu . 5
