New uniforms arrived in time for the annual Christmas Concert. MR. DIX STALLINGS Band Director The SCHS band had a full year of programs and activi- ties. Halftime shows presented at football games opened the year. The highlight of the year was the drive for new band uniforms. With the cooperation of the entire town and community over $2000 was raised, the climax of the drive coming at the Halloween Carnival. The first appearance of the band in their new uniforms was at the annual Christ- mas Concert. The Region 5 Junior Band Clinic in January- brought many students to our campus. At the Senior Clinic February 1-2, Bill Roberts, C. B. Leonard, and Jackie Gammill were selected as All-State Candidates. Concert appearances included Hazen. Piggott, Crossett. Dumas, and DeWitt. Hot Springs was the scene of the State Festival. The annual Spring Concert saw the end of a wonderful year.
