We Were as confused and green as the proverbial freshmen But as we became accustomed to high school, we had representatives in almost all school activities. During our freshman year, our class officers Were: president, John Stevens, vice-president, Ronald Douglassg secretary and treas- urer, Cecile Marting board of control representative, Donald Brockob. We were given the traditional freshman party by the sophomores which We later returned. As sophomores, our class officers are: president, Mary Ann McDougall, vice-president, Ronald Douglassg secretary, Ellen Rutherfordg treasurer, Elsie Sandeg and board of control representative, Cecilia Moe. FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY The present freshman class of 1943 was lucky in escaping the usual initia- tion. Having been in the building so much when we were in grade school, most of us knew our way around quite well and we never found ourselves in the middle of a Comp III class with the Juniors or Seniors when we should have been in General Math class. We came in for our share of the teasing and were made to feel like green froshf' Under the excellent guidance of Miss Kipperberg, our class organized by choosing the following officers: president, Howard Olsen, vice president, Bill Norgaardg secretary, Elaine Foldeng treasurer, Clayton Olsen, board of control representative, Beatrice Hansen. Soon after school started, the sophomores gave us a splendid party, and later we gave a party for the sophomores. We are proud of our class as the members have taken part heartily in many of the school activities. Elaine Eide K 9 -24...
