Eighteen Sophomores entered Stanton High at the first of the year. Dick Johnson had been lost but we gained Don Umphreys. Our class had four girls and one boy on first team with nine girls and two boys going out. Two boys played baseball. We were repre- sented in all of the music groups. The Sophomore girls presented a one-act play at declam contest entitled Mushrooms Coming Up . Mrs. Koopman was class sponsor. The King and Queen attendants from the Sophomore class were Beverly Carlson and Don Umphreys. We gained one new member during the summer, Naomi Mauderly. Our class was well represented in all music groups and had two girls and two boys on the first basketball team with three girls and four boys going out. Our class play was Toby Helps Out . Max Isacsson, Tal Anderson, Vance Nimrod, and Marion Anderson. The Freshmen entered the halls of Stanton High School with nineteen students. Hilma Sederberg and Gail Kirchert rnoved during the year, leaving us with seventeen members Four girls and seven boys were active in basketball. One of our boys was a first sub- stitute for the team. Two of our classmates were cheerleaders, and two were active in declam work, with one of them winning the dramatic an ard for this year. Mr. Kirkeberg was our sponsor. Our candidates for King and Queen for the Stanton High School Carnival were Dorothy ltlauderly and Max lsacsson.
