Until I got your letter I didn't realize that the author of those very vivid articles was the Donna Anderson that I knew in Stanton Hiph School I just arrived from Alaska, one stop in my scientific 6XP6d1tiOh I have met with a few of our old classemates during my travels when I bought my plane ticket home, I ran into Ralph Cave s a General in the U S Anny, in charge of the Air Base in Nome, Alaska The nlght I left I saw LaDonna Carlson, another one of our classmates, a woman wrestler She was fighting Terrible TaLula vhen I was on the plane I was reading a magazine article, 'The Human Brain', by Professor LaDonna Peterson She 15 a professor at a medical universlty 1n the middle west After I got off the plane at the alrport in Stanton, the first person I met was Dwight Anderson He was talking to Kathryn Anderson Kathryn had just let the awn1ng down on her beauty salon It seems that Dwight 18 the pastor of the local church From them, I secured some information about our classmates Leona Peterson is head nurse at the local hosp4tal Donald Nicholas is Uh1t6d States Senator from Iowa No doubt, you knew that Donald Peterson is gaining world fame as a lecturer and author1ty Please write soon, Donna It's nice to hear from my old classmate Lee Strickland Q l...Y'. Glass pfzoplfecml Dear Lee, I read in the paper of your recent safari in Africa and I want- ed to write and congratulate you on capturing the only live hyper- bonushyzebra in the world. You're a brave man, Lee! I knew from the first day I saw you climb the steps to Stanton High School that you were a man with determination! It seems only a few months have passed since you and I graduated from S H S , but it is already ten years ago. I have been in New York six years as a reporter for the 'Daily Mirror W It is quite an exciting life-dashing from one place to another to get headline new I've been able to keep account of several of our classmates by reading of them in newspapers, corresponding with them, and even seeing them in the movies Did you see that movie newsreel featuring Jonathan Paul Kuhnstein? was I surprised when I recognized the face as that of John Kuhn' I always knew John would be an inventor' Jean Bergren is living only a few miles from here in a suburb so we get together very often She has a very good job in the big gest corporation in the United States General Motors She is head of the Chevrolet department and her job consists ch1efly of g1ViDg likely customers convlncing rides in the car She comes out here quite often, so we have coffee and talk over old tlmes Sometlmes I go lnto town and she and I attend a stage show Not long ago, we ran across two of our classmate whom we had not seen for QU1+6 some time Jean Lantz was a chorus g1rl in the nFollies of l960' which was playing on Broadway She had several solo perfonmances Jean and I were invited backstage after the show and were surprised to f1nd that her capable agent was Lois Carlson ber room wa swamoed with flowers and both Jean and Lo1s had tall dark, and handsome men wait1ng for them' I asked Lois whatever hap- pened to Donald Lantz and she told me he is still farming his estate in Stanton first one I attended was vera exciting, especially since I was well acouainted with the winner It was Robert Vanderholm who was driving his decked out Chevrolet in the stock car aces' In a recent letter from home I heard that Russell Dahlstrom has announced his acceptance of the appointment to the National Safety Council LaVern Rossander surprised me With a brief visit At the t1me she had just become an army nurse, and was on her way to China ,,! 7 O C I I U O O I I -- , .
