1950 School Carnival The Stanton High School held their annual school carnival on October 13, 1950. The Stanton Dome was the center of attraction from about 7:30 until later into the night. The various booths provided for the benefit of the public were the novelty stand, the ring toss, the penny toss, coat check, fishing pond, telegram stand, nut house, and the bingo stand. The lunch counter was supervised by the P T.. A members whom we wish to thank for giving their time to make the lunch counter a success., The dome and the booths were decorated all different olors This gave it the effect of a carnival The coronation of the Queen Miss Richter took place at ll 15 P M Miss Richter 15 a Senior at the Stanton High School She is known by almost everyone in our community The honor of crowning the Queen was given to Mr Schweigert the Judge and mayor of our good city The attendants of the Queen were Rita Retterath Lualice Elliott and Beverly Borner Gretchan Pulles as flower girl and Donald Janssen as crown bearer After the coronation of the Queen the suspense ended for all who had chances on the Electric Fverhot Roaster Oven The lucky number being held by Mrs Robert Schmxt of Noonan North Dakota The gross receipts were six hundred and fifty dollars with the net income amounting to four hundred and forty dollars The money taken 1n at our carnival will be used for varmous purposes Since there are so many things which we need at the school the money will be very usefully spent We wish to express our thanks to the people of our community and all surrounding communities who helped to make our carnival a success IVAL FUN CORONATION OF THE QUEEN 010' tra ' 3 .
