Sophomore Class H :story Ten students enrolled as Sophomores :or the school year 1950 51 The students are Beverly Borner Jo Ann Janssen Jerry Buchmann Delmar Buchmann Loren Ford Glenn Kruckenberg Marvxn Stlefel Kenny Ganske Nell Pearson and Vernon Sm1th Members of last year s Freshman Class that are not w1th us thms year are John Sl1nde LaVelle M1ller John Alderxn Calv-ln Kllber and Geneva Slmde Jo Ann Janssen was w1th us the flrst semester but because of an over abundance of amb1t1on she became a Jumor the second semester That leaves Beverly Borner ln somewhat of an env1ous s1tuat1on that of be1ng the only glrl ln the Sophomore Class and leaves the class w1th a member ship of n1ne The class offxcers are Kenny Ganske Presxdent VernonSm1th V1ce Presldent and Beverly Borner Secretary Treasurer I umor Class Hzstory In the fall of 1948 twelve Freshmen enrolled m the Stanton Publxc School The class consisted of Marvin Mutzenberger Ivan St1efel Glenn Rlchter and Larry Olds Exght g1rls LaVerne Hornxng, Nancy Hall Donna Retterath Manann Lang The Sophomore year brought back all twelve w1th two new classmates Donna Srrrth and Lual1ce Ellxott During the second semester two puplls dropped out Marxann Lang to become Mrs Oscar Hagen and lven Stmefel to work on the Garr1son Dam In the fall of 1950 a total of twelve returned three boys Dallas Maas Marvln Mutzenberger and Glenn R1chter and n1ne g1rls Donna Retterath Donna Sm1th Anne Berger LaVerne Hornxng Frxeda Huber Hermelle Sue s Lylota Stephens Luahce Elhott and Nancy Hall We regretted loslng Larry Olds who left for Wash1ngton durlng the summer vacatxon and also Frances Borner who enrolled 1n the Blsmarck I-hgh School Nancy Hall left school durxng the first s1x weeks and 1S ccnt1nu1ng her education by correspondence We were very glad to welcome Dallas Maas and Anne Berger 1nto our class th1S al Marvmn Mutzenberger Dallas Maas and Glenn R1chter are members of the hlgh school team and Glenn 1S also a player on the cub team LaVerne Hornmg Anne Berger Donna Sm1th Hermelle Suess Donna Retterath Lylota Stephens Luallce Elllott Frieda Huber and JoAnn Janssen are members of the g1rls team D 1 I D I I l l 1 . , . , . , . . . . . : ' .
