MONA EPLEY, Senior MARSHA BRISTOW, Senior A person whose activities measure more than her height is Mona Epley. She was active in band, senving as historian her Freshman year, and as a member of pep and stage bdnds. The yearbook was one of hermore important activities. She was Class Editor, Elementary Editor, Co-Editor, and Editor. Mona was most active in FHA four years and has been both Treasurer and President. She was selected to run for an Area FHA office her Junior year, holds the Junior, Chapter and State Degrees, and has attended two State Meet- ings, as well as many District and Area Meetings. She has participated in Interscholastic League Spelling and Ready-Writing, and has had roles in both the Junior and Senior plays. She was on the staff of the Buffalo Heard, serving as class reporter and as Feature Editor. Mona has been a member of the National Honor Society since her Sopho- more year, has received several Merit Awards and has been presented the NEDT Certificate of Commendation. She was an active member of Student Council, served as Secretary her Senior year, and attended West Texas Forum and State Convention. She was also selected as Citizen of the Month her Senior year. Mona has worked enthusiastically on many class committees all four years, and was on the program at the Junior-Senior Banquet. It is truly an honor to have a student with these qualifications a member of SHS. Lf it is worth doing, it is worth doing the best you can is the motto of Marsha Bristow. She has enjoyed her high school years very much mainly because she has entered into almost every activity with enthusiasm. As Marsha plans to become a home economics teacher she has been very active in FHA. She has served her local FHA as vice-president and as degree chairman for the past two years, was District IV President during her Junior year, and State Second Vice-President her Senior year. Marsha has received the highest degree, the State Homernakers Degree. She has attended three State Meetings, numerous district and area meetings, and the National FHA meeting held in St. Louis, Missouri last summer. Marsha enjoys her band work too. She plays first chair Saxophone in the Concert band, and has been head majorette for four years. She plans to con- tinue her band in college. She also belongs to National Honor Society. She has been 'active in this since her sophomore year. She is apermanent member of the Student Council, to which she has ,belonged since her freshman yearg she has attended state meetings, southern meetings, district, and National Meeting held in July of 1960 in Janesville, Wisconsin. Marsha played basketball her freshman year and tennis her sophomore year. She has also participated in Interscholastic League and in both the Junior and Senior plays. This is the third time she has appeared on the Who's Who Page.
