JUNIORS Have a Busy Year The class of '70 found their first year as upper- classmen filled with more school activities than ever before. They also found themselves looking ahead to the future and studying harder. Their jun- ior year got off to a good start when they received the long awaited class rings they had ordered the end of their sophomore year. Next on the agenda was the staging of their chief money making proj- ect, magazine sales. Sales netted the class a much needed $1, 125. 79. The juniors were in charge of the Christmas gift exchange after the Christmas Chapel. They sorted and passed out the gifts and cards and supplied a Santa Claus for the occasion. These accomplishments behind them, the spring of 1969 offered the class new challenges. Working on the junior play and planning the Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom kept the class busy. Then came the actual work on the all important Prom. The jun- iors will remember the sighs of relief when the last crepe paper streamer was strung, and the sense of pride they felt when they looked at the result. The knowledge and wisdom obtained their junior year prepared die class of '70 to take their place as seniors. Kathie Brewer Louise Button Class Officers: STANDING: Brent Martin, Vice President; Rita Julian, Stuco Representative; Jon Nelson, Stuco Representative. SEATED: Joyce Nickell, Treasurer; Judy Carrithers, President; Anita Duran, Secretary. 26
