STANLEY 26 vs EAU CLAIRE 7 The Stanley Orioles started off the season with a 26-7 vic- tory over the Eau Claire B-team. Stanley scored in the first quarter, twice in the second quarter and again went over the purple goal for a fourth touchdown in the third quarter. STANLEY 0 vs BLOOMER 31 A large crowd awaited the game between the Blackhawks and Orioles. The Blackhawks were held to a single tally in the first half. But in the second, the Oriole defense let down and the game ended with a Blackhawk victory. STANLEY 15 vs ELEVA-STRUM 0 At Eleva-Strum the Orioles gained their second victory. Jim Aumann scored in the first period with Molling run- ning 55 yards for the second touchdown, to end the game with a 15-0 victory. STANLEY 0 vs CORNELL 50 Cornell beat Stanley to give the Orioles their second defeat of the season. Both the offense and defense were spirited, but the team was unable to cope with the Green and White. STANLEY 0 vs CADOTI' 26 A disappointed crowd watched Cadott victor over the Stan- ley Orioles, in a 26-O game. The league leaders were held scoreless until the half, but in the third quarter the roof caved in. STANLEY 20 vs NEILLSVILLE 14 In the win column once more the Orioles pulled one of the major upsets of the season. Aumann scored first with a strong charging line ahead of him. Molling scored in the second period. Art Ondal intercepted a pass running 40 yards to make the score 20-7. The game ended with the score 20-14. ' STANLEY 6 vs THORP 15 Homecoming! An Excitement filled the stands and on the football field. Thorp met a fighting team, but in, the last quarter the Stanley Orioles were outscored 13-6. STANLEY 0 vs OWEN 25 The last game of the season was played at Owen. The Or- ange and Black played hard, but were outscored 25-0. This left the team with 5 wins and 5 losses for the season. 58

Burl: Rowf Roger Anderson, Tod Henning, Jim Gutenberg, Terry Stewart, Edward Swatzina, Donald Wagener. X, Future material for Stanley's A-Squad is being developed , within the ranks of the Jr. High team. Under the close supervision of their coach, Bill Proctor, they came through with a fairly successful season. Within a few years these players must fill the ranks of the present A squad. Good luck to them for future success. 59
