' l ' new lourses are given as a result of this organization; one in General Biolog and one in Citizenship. The administrative duties are performed by a committee of the faculty which has taken over the functions formerly performed by the several departments. These duties cover the approval of study-cards, adjustment and enforcement of the requirements, provision of the necessary courses, and the adjustment of the schedule. The relation between the Lower Division and the several departments will not develop fully for another year at least. . t present there is no indication that there will be serious difficulties in this respect and there is every reason to believe that departmental re(|uirements will be met.
