CLASS CDF 1968 Having survived the rigors of the introductory year of law school, the second-year student returns to Stanford to he exposed to such areas of law as government, business associations, and international affairs. It is generally in the second year that students are confronted with the intri- cacies of such courses as Trusts and Estates and Taxation. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge of legal principles hy participating in the Marion Rice Kirkwood or Philip C. fessup International Law Moot Court competitions and the Sergeants at Law Mock Trial programs. Law school organizations such as the Law Review, the Law Forum, and the Legal Aid Society invite second-year students to join their ranks. Oppor- tunities are availahle for internships hefore the final year of law school and students spend some time interviewing for these positions.
