ln 1776 the colonists had faith in the future of America as a free countryg a country where people could live and worship without being disturbed by governmental actions. Now, in l958, who are the people that will keep America great? They are the students of today l Faith in today,s youth means faith in the future of America. The minds and morals of todayis youth are constructed by their activities: their right to govern themselvesg to have their ow11 representative govern- ment on the school campus. The citizens of tomorrow gain knowledge and experience today by promoting club activities. Our freedom to congregate promotes the exchange of ideas and the ability to get along with other people. Today's youth and their activities are just as important as the future of America. ln fact, they are, in a sense, the same thing: youth, activities, and the future of America. -Pam Schroeder
