. . . o{ Qua 76? %mo Before leaving forever these familiar portals of knowledge and friendship, known to us as high school, we the Senior Class of 1969 pause to express our gratitude and appreciation to one who has inspired the student body to greater responsibility. His patience and keen interest in the welfare of the students have made immeasurable contributions to the success of our school. As an educator, in the truest meaning of the word, he has contributed singificantly in preparing us to meet the dedemands of society. Because of his effort and understanding. he holds a very warm place in our hearts. It is with respect and appreciation that we dedicate our 1969 MEMO to our principal, MR. NORMAN McGUFFEY. Mr. McGuffey, sponsor of Beta Club, confers with Mike Powers, president of Beta Club. Mr. McGuffey came to Stanford High School when the class of‘69 was in the eighth grade. He always has time to talk to any student, to attend all school functions, and to sell the school system to the public. These activities which help the school and inspire the students are in addition to the routine duties he performs as a principal. 5
