In this annual we have attempted to show by our funniest experiences and most memorbale moments the happiness that we have hat at S.H.S. This being our last year we want to leave something behing that will be very special now and in the years to come. We hope that this book of memories will express our true feelings toward S.H.S. and that the Seniors of 1969 will always hold a special place in the hearts of those at S.H.S. His patience and keen interest in the welfare of the students have made immeasurable contributions to the success of our school. As an educator, in the truest meaning of the word, he has contributed singificantly in preparing us to meet the dedemands of society. Because of his effort and understanding. he holds a very warm place in our hearts. It is with respect and appreciation that we dedicate our 1969 MEMO to our principal, MR. NORMAN McGUFFEY. Mr. McGuffey, sponsor of Beta Club, confers with Mike Powers, president of Beta Club. Mr. McGuffey came to Stanford High School when the class of‘69 was in the eighth grade. He always has time to talk to any student, to attend all school functions, and to sell the school system to the public. These activities which help the school and inspire the students are in addition to the routine duties he performs as a principal. 5 EDITORS: Mary Margaret Newsome.
