WELCOME, MR. EDDLEMAN The year of 1958 - ‘59 has brought many new changes to Stanford High SchooL For the first time in its history, the school has an active student council that has proved to be a great asset. Each senior is wearing a beautiful class ring which was planned and designed by the eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades of 1957. The classes voted to make this the standard ring of Stanford High School. A closeup picture of it may be seen on the Senior division page. Also, for the first time, our BetaClubhas a member who is the state vice-president. Emery Wilson was elected by a great majority of Beta Club members. In addition to these other firsts,” Stanford High School has a new superintendent for the first time in thirty years. We felt that when Mr. Embry retired we would be lost, but our new superintendent, Mr. J. C. Eddleman, has successfully carried on the progressive program started by Mr. Embry. Yes, we feel that we are indeed one of the most fortunate classes to graduate from Stanford High SchooL We have been advised and guided by a fine gentleman and friend whom we shall never forget. As we seniors of 1959 graduate, we wish to thank you, Mr. Eddleman, and to wish you many, many successful years as the chief administrator of our beloved Alma Mater. J. C.
