The progress that Stanford High School has made under the direction of Superintendent Joe T. Embry is inestimable. Since his coming to Stanford twenty-eight years ago the local citizens have seen their school grow constantly. Just last year, under the superb guidance of Mr. Embry, one of the finest architectural dreams of the century was added to our school. Our new combination elementary school, cafeteria and auditorium is second to no other modern school building in the state. It will be a sad day for the students and faculty of Stanford High School when Mr. Embry retires from our midst, but the many long-range plans which he has started will continue to grow, and because of his foresight, interest, and influence, Stanford High School will remain one of the best in the state. Yes, Stanford High may never be quite the same without Mr. Embry, but his presence in these halls will be felt long after he is gone. We will always be cognizant of the fact that he WAS here and his influence will remain forever. THE EDITORS
