dta a. We, the graduating class of 1956, realize that the school, as a whole, will be at a great disadvantage if we take all of our priceless possessions away with us. We think it is proper to dispose, in the way we think best, of the few traits which we have acquired in the twelve years, and to make fitting bequests to those worthy and needy. Therefore, we the Senior class of 1956, being of sound minds and failing memories for English assignments, do hereby declare this to be our last will and testament. To the Junior class we leave our seats in the senior room, in chapel, and in the lunchroom, and, also, our many laughs we had in history class. We grant the Sophomores and Freshmen the privilege of saying that they were in high school when we graduated. Jane James leaves her cute smile and friendly ways to Carolyn Morris. Doug Brickey wills his ability to give all the girls a thrill to Clero Brown. To Fanlee Ball goes Phyllis Gooch's knack to go with a Lancaster boy. Carl Rogers bequeaths himself to Patsy Lawson. Linde Blackerby leaves her quiet nature to Elizabeth Murphy. Billy Good wills his ability to “scratch off to Bobby Short. Burna Dean Barrett presents her knack to go with tall boys to Elaine Patterson. To Sammy Matheny goes Betsy Burgin’s soprano voice. Ann Carroll Severance leaves her ability to play basketball to next year’s team. Walter Sevier wills his motor scooter to Charles Berbour so that Charles can ride Janet Yeary around. Sue Saufley leaves her big appetite to Barbara Frisbie. Joy Mick leaves her scattered brain to Joan Darst. Mary Jo Morrow wills her ability tq dissect frogs in Biology to Mr. Elliott. To Gary Brummett goes Leroy Boone’s deep, bass voice. Betty Ann Barbour leaves her job as treasurer of the senior class to the poor soul who gets the office next year. Mary Evelyn Bell wills her ability to go steady to Kitty Baughman. Kavanaugh McGuire leaves a few inches of his height to Miss Grimes so she can dust the top shelf in the library. Jane Clayton Morrow leaves her ability to tell “wild tales” to Gerald Staggs. Susanne Grimes leaves her knack to go with two or three boys at one time to Barbara Williams. To Don Thomas goes Allan Elliott's ability to pester the girls.
