U Ncom AN swf The 1nc lnlan staff was headed this year by an intelligent young lady who goes by the name of Marcia Lou Farmer With the able asslstance of Rlchard Grlmes as to Edltor, the paper was one of the best that Stanford High has ever had Both edltor and co edlto are to be commended for thelr hard work and excellent plannlng of the news and covers, not to mention the enlighten1ng ed1 torlals JhiCH were fllled with special study and good com on sense Speak1ng of covers, Martra Jane Montgomery, as the art ed1tor, did an excellent job of making them unioue nd lnteresting at the same tlme The business managers this year care of our flnances The circulation managers were Doris Weaver and Emily Bell These glrls could be seen once a month, running up and down the halls seeing that everyone mad a paper The feature editors were Anna Lou Gander and Lo Anne Fields Roberta Hester and Mlnerva Pence were later added to the l1st of these hard working gals who bring in the jokes and storles for laughs The sports WTltSTS were Barbara Beattle and Edna S Noe, who really wrote picturesque columns about our ataletes The alumn1 reporters, Peggy Northcutt and Earl P Withers, kept us in the know about the graduates of earller years The reporters for the various clubs ln the school were Phyllis Davls, Kathleen Rogers, and Billy Hast1e The grade reporters were Baxbara Beattie, Jack Newsom, Louise Denham, hary J An derson, and Phvllis Mlracle Of course, the Lincolnian would never have been what it was without the excellent help and guidance of the advisers, Miss Nell Davis and Mrs J B Holtzclaw 27 were Patsy Spoonamore and Ann Abel Pettus, who did an excellent job of taking , K I . - .

At the first meeting of the Pep Club the following officers were elected: President-----Barbara Beattie Vice-Pres. ---- --Lo Ann Fields Sec. and Treas.-Anna L, Gander A very good representation of the Pep Club has been present at all of the games due to the purchase of activity tickets by the stuient body. A much improved cheering section has resulted. The Pep Club voted to buy jackets and letters for the football players, and sweaters and letters for the basket- ball players. The Pep Club also bought new sweaters for the cheerleaders and paid one-half the cost of their new skirts. 26
