They were Barbara, Julia Ann, Peggy Foster, Margaret Ellen, Annabelle, Helen Daviss, Doris Long, Betty Turpin, and Zack Saufley. In the second grade we were joined by a red-headed, freckl-faced little girl, who turned out to be Thelma Las-ure. In the third grade a little brown eyed lassie by the name of Mildred Rambo joined us. No new pupils were annexed in the fourth grade but in the fifth, the West was brought closer by Jo Leta. The sixth grade brought us a small bomb from Crab Orchard, Jimmy Car-son. We obtanied a southern belle from Alabama, Mary Fred Leedy, in the seventh grade- The eighth grade brought us a tall dark haired led from Louisville, who answers to the name of Dallas Roberts, and also, a shy, retiring girl from Hubble, Helen Morris. Our number was increased by six as we started the last lap of our journey. They were Billy Timberlake, Harold Kelley, Clarence Rankin, Harry Pence, from Hubble; Lloyd Chadwell from Saufley and Amy VonLinger from Hus-tonville. Our sophomore year was enriched by the arrival of Nick B., “Casanova” from Fern Creek. In the eleventh grade we were joined by a basketball star, Billy Hansford, from Liberty, and also Mary Ann Clark from Versailles. Our last year was enlightened by the coming of Evelyn Bailey from Indiana and Bernice French from Crab Orchard. Joan Von Gruenigen, who had been sick a year, joined us and Peggy Adams joined us from Cardome. MW CLASS PROPHECY Joan Von Gruenigen is debating important issues in the senate while Dr. Blackerby has an office in a nearby town with Jane Ann as his receptionist. Billy Timberlake has become famous as Einstein’s assistant, Bar- bara Farmer for her original hair styles, Margaret Ellen as an artist. Peggy Foster as a powers model, and Dallas Roberts as the head coach at U. K Annabelle Blackerby, Marianne Clark, Mary Fred Leedy, and Helen Davis are teaching in old S.H.S. Peggy Adams, now Mrs. Sandidge, is working hard to keep Flop’s socks mended. Jo Leta West is housekeeping, while Amy VonLinger and Thelma Lasure are having a hard time teaching the little Govers. Helen Morris has moved to one of the best cattle farms in Boyle County. Both Betty Turpin and Doris Long are happily married. Clarence Rankin and Bill Hansford, with their wives, are joint owners of a farm in the blue grass section. Julia Ann Bradshaw, head nurse of Stanford Hospital, was recently married to Coleman Young, manager of Kroger Store. Lloyd Chadwell has worked hard to be the most scientific farmer in Lincoln County, and Jimmy Carson takes care of his sick horses, while occasionally Zack Saufley comes around to lecture on new met- hods of farming. Mildred Rambo is now private secretary to the president of Gen- eral Motors and Bernice French is a stewardess for Eastern Air Lines. Harry Pence is Stanford’s most eligible bachelor, but Harold Kelley is billed as a second Humphrey Bogart. • ■mn WMTM 1 V VMV TV ' ' ? ' L'MTW VJ'i r ' Trr-T' TT ■?
