This is the plat of the town of Foster which is now known as Stanfield. This is to show where the town was meant to be, but didn't ever grow to this area. The Present town of Stanfield no longer exactly fits the plat, but Seymour Street as it is on the plat is now the street that connects the bridge to Coe Avenue. As the town grew it expanded to the Southwestern part and far beyond. This Plat of Foster is the first attempt to plan a settlement for this community as the Freshmen are also symbolic of students making their first attempt to further their education, as the first big step.
