Whiting, Carl Mattson, Ralph W. Savage, Edgar L. Bugbee Lester J. Myers. Next door is the Guidance Office, presided over by Alton Rhoads and Miss Esther Wheeler, under whose direction every pupil in the school is assigned to a counselor who takes an individual interest in him and who, in group discussions and individual conferences, guides the students to wise decisions in all their problems: the selection of subjects, the for- mation of programs, and, in cases of maladiustment, the alteration of schedules to fit the individual needs and abilities of the students. This admirable system of guidance, incorporated this year, has certainly accomplished much toward achieving its goals: that of giving experienced and professional coun- seling to every student in S.H.S. who needs it or desires it. In addition, the guidance department assumes the burden of offering vocational advice to those who can profit by it. GUIDANCE COUNSELORS Seated, Left to Right: Enda Riordan, J.
