We, the students of Stamford High School, have found in our journey through school that whenever the road became rocky or steep, wheneverwe had problems to face, whenever we neededa friend, you, Mrs. Austin, were there. Besides being our counselor and friend, you have guided and trained us in algebra, geometry, and speech. Almost every year you have beena class sponsor. In spite of these many duties you have found time to sponsor the annuals for the past four years. lt has been due largely to your careful guidance that each year the annual has expanded. But your service to young people does not end at school. You are an energetic leader in the young peop1e's department of the Baptist Church. As head of the young people's department you have endeavored to show by word and by example the true Christian spirit. Because of your service to us, the students of Stamford High School, because of your efforts to guide us mentally, morally, and culturally, be- cause we love you, Mrs. Austin, we happily and thankfully dedicate to you this volume of THE BULLDOG - 1950.
