CARMON FADON A Photography Club: 12; Cheer- leading: 12; Softball: 12. Soccer: 12; Tennis Team: 12. FRANK P. HEITMULLER Friends, I would like to know how to start, there are too many things I want to say and I can't even find the proper words. But there is one thing I am sure of, and I want to tell you right now and it is: THANK YOU! Thanks America Thanks Stamford Thanks Friends. Why? Oh, you know why; Thanks because you helped me so much, Because you made this year something I'll never forget. Because you taught me to love you, your country and your people. Here I learned the real meaning of the word smile . And here I found the friendliest people I've ever met. I could go on and on in the list of things I learned here. And I'll always finish saying: Thank you again. When I look up in the sky I can see it as blue as in Spain, The same blue I've always seen but now the sky seems even bigger because now I can see it through your eyes and through the eyes of my own country and with both cultures in my heart I feel like a bridge over the ocean. Again I tell you Thanks for that, for opening my eyes to this marvelous world, for showing me what to be young really is: to want to learn more and more, to cry, to smile, to live, to walk looking at the stars and to fight to get there. And you were always there helping me in walking my way, smiling at me and teaching me to smile, There always were hands ready to reach out if I needed help. This has been a wonderful year and you are wonderful friends, I only look forward to seeing you again, either here, or. I'd love to see you in Spain. But it's for sure I'll never forget you and I'll always say: Thanks America Thanks Stamford Thanks FRIENDS. Love, Carmen Dear Friends: It is very hard to explain in a few words about all my new experiences here and how different the way of life is be- tween West Germany and the United States of America. I like to say thank you to everybody who made my life in Stamford easier. It was a year full of new experiences and different environments. For me Stamford has been a second home where I made a lot of good friends. Thanks to everybody who showed American friendship and kindnesses. It was really nice to meet you. I look forward, hopefully, to returning to Stamford and seeing my friends again. If you should be visiting my country, I would welcome the opportunity to return the many kindnesses offered to me. Good luck in the future. Frank 13
