Stamford Central School Stamford, New York Vol. 27 To a friend that believes in There is only one race Mankind Although we have barely known him for two years now, Mr. Apicella has made a very favorable impression on us and will be an inspiration to all of us in the years ahead. Mr. Apicella was an example for us of a human being struggling to change his envi- ronment for the better of all people. He constantly strove for harmony and peace among all nations. His campaign against the B-l Bomber is one of many examples. Mr. Apicella is a teacher who really cared how we did academically. He didn't just say he cared, he took action. Many times you could find him holding a class after school. He wasn’t just there if you went to him, he went looking for you. Mr. Apicella was one of the first persons to make many students realize what a high school education is all about. Mr. Apicella helped our class through all of our extracurricular activities. He always had new and different ideas to contribute to help our class get the school together to accomplish a common goal or just to have a good time and get to know each other better. This man has always been there whenever any of us needed to talk about happiness or sorrow. We are forever grateful to him for the lessons in life he gave to us. We the class of 1975 are proud to dedicate the twenty-seventh volume of THE VOICE to our friend Robert Apicella. These fragile times should never pass us by A time we never can watch all the rays As friends together watch the childhood fly. Old friends . . . Walling Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Weyl Thinking about the time that’s past in my life. Wondering where did it all go — Thinking about the memories that I’ve left behind. Wondering if there’ll be much more. 114 Walking off to school too many days, Running fast to get back home . . . Wish I’d seen me through my mother’s eyes How she cried. Now I stand alone — A sitting here getting old Watching my life unfold. Use to be that time would pass too slow Now it seems to whistle past — In a rush to keep me to the end Will I finish first or last? No one finds the answer, till the end, even then, Do we really know? Did we find the right way to go? 119
