fffM,, M. G. MAHLBERG, Superintendent of Stambaugh Township Schools Presenting HILLTOPPER Srambaugh, Michigan 1953 - 1954 Americans have demanded more of education than any other people. No other people have been served so well by its schools. From the beginning, education has had a hard task to perform. The American experiment in Democracy could not have worked without an informed citizenry. Depicted in the following pages are many aspects of the educa- tional program in the Stambaugh High School designed to pro- mote the growth and development of its students. It is hoped and expected that the activities pictured will be a remembrance to all of worthwhile days profitably and happily spent. American schools have served and strengthened the nation for more than a century. They have produced an enlightened people. With steadfast support from the nation they will continue to do their job in the future as well as in the past.
