lt i Foreword Education has two primary functions: To guide the young person in developing himself, his character, personality, and talents: To guide him to an understanding of and participation in the culture in which he lives. Stambaugh High School strives to accom- plish these dual purposes through a broad and comprehensive curriculum and-a varied program of extra curricular activ- ities. The classrooms and groups depicted inthis book give a pictorial view of our' high school life. Success of such a program cannot be measured except by and through the young people who have been students here. Pictures, however, can show some of the means used in our effort to attain these objectives. To you Seniors who are graduating, this volume should in later years refresh your memories of four short years of directed toil and pleasant associations with fellow students and teachers. Carl A.
