The regular season record was 11-L. Start- ing slow, winning two and losing three, the Hilltoppers ame back after the Christmas vacation to cop nine of their last ten games, and were rated one of the powerhouses in the Upper Psnninsula. Stamhaugh had to fight to the wire for the Range Championship, being pressed all the way by a sur- prising Niagara five. The title came after a tough battle on the Norway court, Stambaugh winning there for the first time in nine years. John Erickson, Stambaugh's versatile pivot man, set a new school scoring record of 301 points during the regular season. 'B' TEAM WINS CONFERENCE TITLE The Stambaugh 'Bee' squad made a clean sweep of range honors by winning the 'Bee' Championship, from Iron Mountain, with a score of L9-39.
