STAFFORD HIGH SCHOOL 2' L'L , 'L .. g... , - Y 1. wet - avail H ' s - Q M A V, 7, Erected in 1916, the Stafford High School still has one of the most up-to-date school buildings in the state of Kansas. Many changes and additions have been made since it was new and this keeps it in tip-top condition. The year 1956 saw several changes. The new gym and auditorium was built, increasing greatly the facilities of the school. More changes were made during the summer of 1941. The main office was altered and somewhat enlarged, and a new prin- cipal's office was created. This helped a great deal in order to relieve congestion. Nearly every year something about the school is re- placed or repaired. The senior class of each year usually is the contributor of some appropriate gift for the school, with which it can be remembered, and also to show appreciation of having been students in Stafford High School. A lovely lawn and several beautiful trees form an unusually attractive surrounding for the building. A11 these things, along with several others, make students proud to say they attend at Stafford High. The annual staff of 1942 has refrained from dedica- ting its book to any one person, preferring to make it a re- cord of progress shared equally by each person. But if it is possible to recognize an inanimate object, the staff wishes to salute the Stafford High School building, the home of happiest school days. 2
