Class Prophecy In the spring of 1942, sixty-six seniors graduated from the Stafford High School to go into the world to try to make fame and a fortune for themselves, if possible. After 25 years of getting settled and finding their places, we now take a look through our super-telescope to see what we may see. This is the class of 042W as they now live in all the different parts of the country. Jimmy Newell is a physics teacher in Stafford High School, replacing Miss Evans who retired last year. Frank Madden is the present owner of Safeways Inc. Glenn Charles has replaced Mr. Holland R. Snalr in the Stafford High School as typing instructor. Willard Dickson is playing with the Green Bay Packers and is the outstanding pro-football player of this year. Holland Ausherman is a doctor in Stafford, Kansas. Enos Ashford is the rural mail carrier from Stafford to Neola. Mac Hargett is one of the best known oil men in the Middle- West. Calvin Hargis is a trigonometry professor in Harvard University. Kenneth Hoover is playing baseball at Iola with the Ben Johnson League. Howard Soice is the athletic director of Podunk College, in Bowdiddle Switch, Arkansas. Dorothy Whitlock is home economics instructor at Podunk College. Her greatest interests, however, are in the athletic department. Byrd Garey is the national woman professional golf champion in New York. Norma Hartnett is an air hostess on the T. W, A. Mildred Hayes is helping her husband run his nchicken houseu on South Main Street in Stafford, Kansas. Irene Allen is a government chemist, working in Washington, D.C. Vada Newell is a Spanish teacher in the dark jungles of Africa. Wilma Jean Vice is married and is the proud mother of three sets of triplets. Nancy Newell is a great author and a poet of renown. Elberta Lee is teaching in the kindergarten at the Central School in Stafford, Kansas. Russell Jlmison owns a fleet of autos in which he hauls the rest of the former students of S. H. S. Byron Slade owns a 5,000 acre farm south of Stafford and has retired. Billie Hayden has achieved fame and fortune as a fortune teller at the World's Fair. Lee McComb, having lost all his hair, is one of the world's greatest diplomats in the service of the U.S.A. Vernon Ogle is with the Harlem Globe Trotters in New York. Mary Ellen Barnes is on an extensive advertising tour for the Wrigley Chewing Gum Company. She has a hard time keeping track of her samples. Darlene Bartlett is operating an exclusive beauty shop in New York. Isabel Bartlett is making a fortune raising rabbits and selling them to magicians. Eileen Hornbaker is a great pianist in a well known orchestra in New Jersey. Mary Ellen Martin is a great singer in Hollywood. She is the second great Mary Martin. Mary Louise Boyd is secretary to Mr. Sharp who is now president of the Prominent Bachelor's Association. Charla Belle Lofland is a great dietician in a well known hospital in Chicago. Rex Milton is an assistant to NPrestoU Adolphaus Chango, the great magician. Ralph Woertendyke is president of the United States and his private secretary is Jimmy Earl Walker, a former classmate. Addie Leah Wise is married and living in the South where she is mistress over a large cotton plantation. Cora Alice Hagerman is living on a farm south of Stafford, Kansas with her husband, James Claypool. Roy Dunn, Daniel Doerlng, and Ted Falen are the three musketeers who became famous during the World War because of the discovery of how to make synthetic rubber out of sunflowers. Donald Newell is a captain in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Dick Milton is working by the hour for the State Highway Commission. Buddy Metz is the Chief of Police in the City of Stafford. Alan Osborn is working on a farm which is owned by Lynn Branaman and his charming wife, the former Silva 15

Edwin Baar owns a cattle ranch in Colorado. Margene Nease is a research worker in psychology. Florence Meschberger is the second great Florence Nightingale and is in the Mercy Hospital in Chicago. Glenn Hawver is living near St. John, having married his WS.H.S. Sweetheartu, Ellen Schmidt. Edward Bear and Lorraine Hearn, having made a great success at marriage, own a large wheat and cattle farm south of Stafford. Bob Milton owns a welding shop in the city of Stafford, Kansas and his charming wife, the former Naomi Richardson, is his efficient bookkeeper. James Williams is the most handsome man in Hollywood today, and is a great star. Margaret Lou Barrow has won fame by her style designing in Paris. Lela Mae Lee is now an explorer in South America. Polly Magill has won fame as being the fastest woman driver in the world. Mary Smith is a biology instructor in one of the large high schools in the Eastern part of the United States. Naomi Lee has made a fortune selling a book which she has written on how to be intelligent and make straight A's in school. Helen Burhenn is the composer of 'Pretty Poetry of the Peaceful Hour' on the radio. Phyllis Sturgeon is the world's champion typist and is now working for the Underwood people. Maxine Bonham is a nurse working for the United States Red Cross. Ruth Boehme's dreams have been realized and she is an outstanding ice skater and is with the great Ice-Capades cast. Joyce Asher and her husband own the large swimming pool in the City of Stafford, Kansas. Damaris Hagerman is a famous toe dancer in a well known night club in Kansas City, Missouri. Doris Bowman, having married a forest ranger, lives in the Western part of Wyoming. CLASS WILL We the Claes of 1942, of Stafford High School, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do publish this our last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by us made. 1. We direct the executors, Miss Evans and Mr. Patton, of this our last will and testament, to pay all our just debts and expenses of administration. 2. We bequeath to the Junior Class our seats in assembly and the place of leadership in the school. 5. We make the following individual dispositions of our property: Ralph Woertendyke wills his line with the fairer sex to one who has not yet gained experience, Ralph Christie. Bonnie Bartlett wills her secretarial Job to Betty McConnaughey. Naomi Richardson and Bob Milton, Ellen Schmidt and Glenn Hawver will their everlasting love to Bernard Slade and Jeanne Lemmon. Mary Ellen Barnes wills her childish method of chewing gum to Betty Charles. Lynn Branaman wills his timldity to Bob Goodspeed. Cora Alice Hagerman wills her future happiness with her betrothed to Okemah Richardson. Ted Falen wills his nickname, 'Doc', to George Kemerling. Dorothy Whitlock wills her dancing ability to Mary Margaret Peacock. Glenn Charles wills his acquaintances in St. John to Reames Bird. Lela Mae Lee wills her method of gaining her diploma in three years to Larry Bowman. Enos Ashford wills his dislike of Jazz to Jimmie Battin.
