THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE department offers a wide range of knowledge, pertaining to the peoples of the world. The knowledge that is gained when studying a foreign language may only be exceeded by travel to various lands. After a two-year lapse, there is again a third year Latin class. Interested students may now take one to three years in Latin, German, French, Span- ish, or Russian. The language laboratory, with its records and tape recorders, is often used by the language classes. All classes give a basic under- standing of the people, their history, and their customs. Students who partake in the Foreign Language program are often interested in the foreign ex- change program.
